WOOD SPECIES

African Mahogany is found all over West and Central Africa. It ranges in types according to location: from the small Khaya senegalensis in the Sahel down to Khaya ivorensis in the tropical forests. EcoCrafts Khaya ivorensis is ubiquitous in the forest and grows almost anywhere. It is one of the world´s famous timbers due to it´s versatility and excellent working characteristics. In traditional medicine the bark is used to counter high blood pressure and to treat sore stomachs.
